SunnySide Surfboards LLC
I started this project in July 2021 with a passion for creating clothing, artwork, and designing surfboards. That same year, I opened my first LLC and launched my first-ever T-shirt just weeks after setting up shop on Shopify. Thanks to the support of my community, it sold out. In those early days, I balanced painting, marketing, business operations, and surfboard shaping—constantly learning and refining my craft.
I made my first surfboard during my junior year of high school and was instantly hooked. I saw them as more than just boards—they were sculptures, and I was obsessed with learning everything I could about the process. It felt like the sky was the limit. As I gained confidence, I began doing regular clothing drops, improving my ordering system, website marketing, and financial literacy along the way.
While growing the clothing side of the business, I also continued honing my surfboard shaping skills, which led to several custom orders from friends and local surfers. This unexpected expansion elevated my brand beyond what I had imagined, allowing me to merge my love for creating with my passion for running a business.
Over the next few years, I consistently released new drops, fulfilled custom surfboard orders, and painted—all while studying Art & Design in college. Then, in January 2025, after three years, six months, and 19 days of dedication, I officially closed the doors on SunnySide Surfboards. This project will always hold a special place in my heart. Getting to build something I truly cared about at just 16 years old was an experience I’ll never forget.
